ICYMI: In Case You Missed It, last week men’s golf finished in the top ten of the South Carolina-Beaufort Invite. Women’s volleyball had another undefeated week, taking down the Embry-Riddle Eagles 3-1, the Florida Southern Moccasins 3-0, and the Saint Leo Lions 3-1. Women’s soccer tied Rollins College, 0-0, in double overtime, on Wednesday, before falling to No. 8 Barry University, 1-0 on Saturday. The men’s soccer team lost to Rollins 1-0, and then again to the Barry Buccaneers 4-3 in overtime. Women’s tennis kicked off their 2018 season with a 4-3 win over Hillsborough Community College. Finally, both the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Conference Crossover Invite. The women finished 13th of 28 teams, while the men finished 22nd of 27.
This Week’s Events:
Men’s & Women’s Cross Country:
The men’s and women’s cross country teams will travel down the road to USF to compete in the South Florida Invitational on Friday. The race will take place at the USF Golf Course, with the women’s race kicking off the event at 5:00 p.m.
Men’s Soccer:
Men’s soccer travels to Daytona Beach, Florida for a mid-week showdown against the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Wednesday. The Spartans will then host Lynn University at Pepin Stadium, Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Men’s & Women’s Swimming:
Both the men’s and women’s swim teams will travel to Winter Park, Florida to kick off their 2018-19 competition against the Rollins College Tars. The meet will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13th.
Rowing:
The rowing team will kick off their 2018-19 campaign on Saturday at the USF Head Race.
Women’s Golf:
UT is currently competing in round 1 of the Shark Invitational at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Tomorrow the invitational will close out with round 2.
Women’s Soccer:
Opposite of the men, on Wednesday, the women’s soccer team will host Embry-Riddle at 7:00 p.m. at Pepin Stadium. The team will then travel to Boca Raton on Saturday, for a 6:00 p.m. start against the Lynn Fighting Knights.
Volleyball:
Tampa Volleyball will travel to Melbourne, Florida tomorrow, for a 7:00 p.m. match against the Florida Tech Panthers. The Spartans will take the road again on Saturday, traveling to St. Petersburg for a 4:00 p.m. start against the Eckerd Tritons.
