ICYMI: In Case You Missed It, last week volleyball went 2-0. They swept both the Rollins College Tars and the Eckerd College Tritons to remain undefeated in conference competition. Women’s soccer ended the week 1-1. They fell to No. 22 Georgia College, before opening up SSC play with a 3-0 win over Nova Southeastern. Due to weather, the men’s soccer game against Thomas was canceled. However, they too started conference play on Saturday, losing to Nova Southeastern by a final score of 1-0.
This Week’s Events:
Men’s Cross Country:
After a week of rest, the men’s cross country team will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the Chili Pepper Festival. The race will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Agri Park.
Men’s Soccer:
Wednesday, men’s soccer will travel to St. Petersburg, Florida where they will compete against Eckerd College in a 7:00 p.m. showdown. The Spartans will then host the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Saturday. This game is also slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Women’s Cross Country:
On Saturday, the women’s cross country team will run at the Mountain Dew Invitational in Gainesville, Florida. The race will start at 7:55 a.m. at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Women’s Golf:
Round 1 of the Colorado Mesa Invitational begins today, with the tournament closing out tomorrow. The ladies are playing at the Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Women’s Soccer:
The women’s soccer team has the exact opposite schedule of the men. Wednesday the Spartans will host Eckerd at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, the team travels to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish for a 6:00 p.m. start.
Volleyball:
The volleyball team will take the road this weekend with games on Friday and Saturday against Palm Beach Atlantic and Nova Southeastern respectively. The game against the Sailfish will begin at 7:00 p.m. while the game against the Sharks will take place at 4:00 p.m.
