Team Effort Leads Spartans to Fourth-Place Finish at Shark Invitational
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The University of Tampa women’s golf team matched up with several elite teams at the 2018 Shark Invitational, playing to a fourth-place finish.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- For the second time of the season, Riihijarvi was the top Spartan.
- Competing in her first collegiate tournament, Montagnino matched Riihijarvi with a team-best 76 in Monday’s opening round.
- A second round 75 by Riihijarvi went down as the top performance of that round for UT.
- Stengel had a 75 in the third round as the senior posted the top score for the Spartans on Tuesday.
- Head coach Missey Jones did not register any individuals.
- A total of 11 teams competed.
- Nova Southeastern’s Sophie Madden was the individual champion with a 215 (-1).
- In addition to UT and host/team champion Nova Southeastern, other Sunshine State Conference opponents included Florida Southern (2), Barry (3), Florida Tech (6), Palm Beach Atlantic (8), Embry-Riddle (9), Embry-Riddle B (10) and Eckerd (11).
