MELBOURNE, Fla. – The No. 8 University of Tampa Spartans sweep the Florida Tech Panthers by set scores of 25-12, 25-16, and 25-17. With the win, UT extends their winning streak to 13 games.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Sophomore Sorrel Houghton led the Spartans offensively with 16 kills hitting a whopping .367. Following her efforts was fellow outside hitter, Katie McKiel. McKiel had 10 digs for the Spartans and hit .207 on the night. Tampa ran a 5-1 around setter, Sammy Mueller, who ended the match with 34 total assists. Nicole Dominguez suited up as libero and earned 17 digs for UT.

INSIDE THE STATS:

• Sorrel Houghton led the Spartans in kills with 16 total.

• Sammy Mueller had 34 total assists, while Nicole Dominguez had a team-high of 17 digs.  
• Marisa Beisner earned a season-high of 9 digs.   

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
The University of Tampa has never lost to Florida Tech, and lead the all-time series over the Panthers 85-0.
