Tampa Falls to 5th-ranked PBA
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s soccer team squandered the upset bid in extra time against No. 5 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday night. The Spartans have played into extra time in four matches, however this was the first loss after regulation.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Extra Time | The Sailfish won the match on a world-class finish as a throw-in reached Jack Burrows, who settled the ball with his chest and ripped a rocket from beyond the 18 yard box, past the diving Richards.
QUOTING COACH ADRIAN BUSH:
“Our players played fantastic and PBA is a class team. Overall it was our most complete performance of the season, although the result was not in our favor.”
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Six starters played the entire match.
- The Spartans committed 11 fouls compared to PBA’s seven.
- Five yellow cards were charged in the second half, three for UT and two for PBA.
UP NEXT: The University of Tampa will host No. 5 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday night, kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
