TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa kicked off the season against the West Florida Argonauts, and after 110 minutes, the two teams ended in a scoreless draw.Â

Extra Time | The Spartans put on the pressure in extra time, as they took five shots in the final 20 minutes. In the second minute of extra time, Kameron Bethell received a yellow card for West Florida’s third of the match.

- Toni Soler had a game-high four shots, while Fernandez put two shots on target.
- Each goalkeeper had five saves, and played the entire match in the season opener.Â
- The Argonauts committed 14 fouls, while receiving three yellow cards. Â
