Julia Ingram Receives Female Scholar-Athlete Award

TAMPA, Fla. – University of Tampa junior women’s basketball player Julia Ingram has been named the University of Tampa 2019-20 Female Scholar-Athlete Award winner. This marks the second year of the annual award, which is determined based on Year in school, UT GPA, Major/Minor & Academic Accolades including Dean’s List, etc.
Ingram is a junior from Clearwater, Fla., and carries a perfect 4.0 GPA while double majoring in political science and history.
Also a recipient of the Pollock Scholarship, for excellence in history, Ingram was the Office of Undergraduate Research and inquiry (OURI) grant recipient for an independent study in political science research. She is a member of the UT chapter of the academic honors society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Alpha Theta, which is the University of Tampa’s history honors society.
A member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, she has achieved the Dean’s List every semester at UT. Ingram also serves as the President of SAAC and is a student government member at UT.
Due to the cancellation of the 2020 Sparty’s, the major awards for the 2019-20 season with be announced throughout the week on TampaSpartans.com. Other awards include the Iron Spartan Award and the Melissa Vanderhall Spartan Cape Award.
