Watson Clinic Telemedicine Service Empowers Patients to Receive Medical Care From the Comfort of Their Home
[ad_1]
Lakeland, FL – In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, Watson Clinic is making it easier than ever for patients to receive the care they need without having to leave their home.
With Telemedicine, patients can schedule their next doctor’s appointment and connect with a member of their medical team through video chat or private messaging. These appointments are arranged and conducted exclusively through the MyChart at Watson Clinic LLP Patient Portal.
“We have worked diligently to implement a solution that will accommodate the healthcare needs of our patients while also ensuring their health and safety during this challenging time,” says Watson Clinic Managing Partner Steven G. Achinger, MD. “Telemedicine accomplishes the same goals as an in-person appointment with your doctor all from the comfort of your home.”
During a video visit through the telemedicine system, your physician or medical provider will assess your concerns, questions, symptoms, and/or needs. The goal is to meet all your expectations and effectively communicate a plan of care. As a patient, please be aware that your input is vital to this process. Though the visit is through an electronic medium, the information you provide is just as important as if you were sitting with your provider in an office exam room.
During a telemedicine appointment, patients can discuss the following issues or concerns with a member of the care team:
· Have an assessment for COVID-19 symptoms
· Discuss medication refills
· Discuss any recent changes to medications
· Discuss any recent problems they may be having
· Manage certain chronic conditions
These visits require access to an iPad, Smartphone device, or either a desktop or laptop with a working webcam and microphone.
Telemedicine also provides patients with the option of communicating directly with their doctor’s office through private messaging on the MyChart Patient Portal system. In order to qualify for this option, the patient must attach a relevant picture or document in their communications (ie, an image of affected region or scanned document of their latest blood pressure reading, etc).
Please note that telemedicine options are subject to the participation and availability of each physician. You must be enrolled in the MyChart at Watson Clinic Patient Portal system in order to participate. As with any routine appointment with your doctor, co-payment requirements may vary based upon your insurance coverage.
Watson Clinic patients can register for their own MyChart Patient Portal account in minutes by visiting WatsonClinic.com/Portal. For more information on the Telemedicine system, visit WatsonClinic.com/Telemedicine.
