[ad_1]
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball program has announced its open tryout for the junior varsity program on Friday, September 7 at 4 p.m. This will be the final tryout for the JV baseball team in the 2018-19 school year, and is open to students enrolled full-time at UT in the fall semester.
This will be the only tryout date offered for UT students in the Fall and Spring semesters. The tryout will be held at the UT Baseball Field, which is located on campus at the intersection of North Blvd., and Cass Street.
All new and returning JV players must sign up at the UT baseball office, and fill out the necessary paperwork to be eligible to try out.
All students need to have a copy of their UT Spartan Card and they MUST have a copy of a physical dated within 6 months of the tryout date. If it is not in this time frame, you will not be permitted to tryout due to NCAA rules. Students must drop off the required documentation to Rob Fiedler – Assistant AD for Compliance in Martinez Athletic Center (125) no later than Friday, August 31st at 3 p.m. Students will also need to sign a sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk form when dropping off the required paperwork.
Without proof of a 2018 Fall semester UT Spartan Card, copy of physical taken within 6 months of the tryout and completed sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk forms – you cannot participate in the tryout.
Players will need to bring proper equipment and arrive at the field 15 minutes prior to the announced tryout time. Reminder, this is the only tryout date for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters and is for full-time Fall 2018 semester UT students only.
If any student planning to tryout has a video, please send to Jose Jimenez.
