ICYMI: In Case You Missed It, last week men’s soccer went 0-0-2. They tied the North Georgia Nighthawks 4-4, before moving on to tie the Clayton State Lakers 1-1. The women’s soccer team ended the week 0-1-1, losing to the Queens Royals on Friday 2-1, before moving on to draw with the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears 1-1 on Sunday. For the second weekend a row, both the men’s and women’s cross country teams took home first place. Both squads ran at the Florida Tech Invitational, where the women placed 1st of 8 and the men placed 1st of 6. Volleyball opened up SSC competition over the weekend, advancing their overall record to 9-1 with two more wins under their belt. The Spartans defeated both the Florida Tech Panthers and the Embry-Riddle Eagles by a final score of 3-1.
This Week’s Events:
Volleyball:
The volleyball team will host two conference showdowns on Tuesday and Thursday where they will play Rollins and Eckerd respectively. Both games are slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Bob Martinez
Men’s Soccer:
Wednesday, men’s soccer will travel to host Thomas College at 6:00 p.m. The Spartans will then open up conference play on Saturday with a 7:00 p.m. start time against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
Women’s Soccer:
Women’s soccer will take the road this week, competing in a mid-week showdown against Georgia College, Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Similar to the men, the women will open conference competition Saturday against Palm Beach Atlantic. The first whistle will blow at 7:00 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla.
