Tampa Men’s Lacrosse Receives Four All-American Selections
PERRY, N.Y. – The University of Tampa men’s lacrosse team had a total of four student-athletes who were honored as second-team All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Among the honorees are Ross Dickerson, Andrew Kew, Jake Mosher McGraw and Luke Posner.
Dickerson, a sophomore from Berlin, Md., was among the best faceoff specialists in the nation as he won 267-of-354 faceoffs. Winning faceoffs at over a 75 percent clip, he also totaled a team-leading 153 ground balls. In 20 games, he also scored three goals. He was also recognized as a first-team all-Sunshine State Conference selection this season.
Kew, a junior from Oakville, Ontario, is the program’s all-time leading scorer and netted a team-high 50 goals in 2018. His 20 assists and 70 points both marked team highs as he was also credited with 26 ground balls and six caused turnovers. This marks the second All-American selection for Kew, who was a first-teamer as a sophomore in 2017. He was also named first-team all-SSC.
Mosher McGraw, a sophomore from Saint John, New Brunswick, was fourth on the team with 31 goals. He also added 11 assists and 13 ground balls. His numbers also garnered first-team all-SSC recognition.
Posner, a senior from Madisonville, La., captained a defense that held opponents to 8.25 goals per game. Starting all 20 games, he also notched a goal and two assists. He was also selected first-team all-SSC.
