MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa’s Bridget Sutter has been named Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She earns this award after posting a win in goal against #17 Limestone College.
The Spartan goalkeeper had a big game as she would only allow one goal in the victory. Sutter would face 12 shots between the pipes as she would collect 11 saves in the victory. Sutter helped the Spartans keep Limestone to their lowest offensive performance since the 2016 season. Her .602 save percentage currently is the best in the conference. The weekly award is the seventh of her career.
