Spartans Win Opening Tournament Behind Riihijarvi’s Record Performance
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The University of Tampa women’s golf team opened the 2018-19 season with a team title at the 2018 RMAC Fall Preview behind another stellar effort from two-time All-American Kiira Riihijarvi.

- Riihijarvi shot rounds of 63 and 67 to lead all Spartans in both rounds.
- The opening round 63 was not only a school record by Riihijarvi, but it was also an unofficial course at Tiara Rado.
- Junior Cadavid also finished in the top-10 as she had rounds of 75 and 76.
- Head coach Missey Jones did not register any individuals.
- A total of 17 teams competed.
- Tampa was the lone Sunshine State Conference school in the field of teams.

Tampa continues fall action on October 7-9 at the Shark Invitational. SSC foe Nova Southeastern will host the event at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
