WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 4 University of Tampa Spartans swept the Rollins College Tars in three sets, by scores of 28-26, 25-12, 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Sophomore outside hitter, Katie McKiel led the Spartans to victory with 14 kills, hitting .303 on the night. Following her efforts, was that of junior middle-blocker Taylor Fosler, who ended the evening with nine kills on 13 attempts and had an average kill percentage of .462. Libero Nicole Dominguez had a team-high of 14 digs, while junior setter, Sammy Mueller followed with seven digs in addition to her 38 assists. All three members of the active freshman class saw the court. Claudia Rivera recorded five digs, Sarah Luoma had three kills and two digs, and Kamari Potter stated four kills on four attempts, hitting a perfect 1.000.

INSIDE THE STATS:

• Katie McKiel led Tampa’s offense with 14 kills, bringing her season total to 342.

• Nicole Dominguez played libero for the Spartans and ended the match with 14 digs. She now has 382 on the season.  

• Sammy Mueller now has a total of 952 assists in her junior campaign.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
The Spartans lead the all-time series over the Tars 90-6. This was the second time this season that Tampa swept Rollins.
