Shumaker Partner Matthew Maggard Named Board President of Dade City Chamber of Commerce

TAMPA, FL – As Pasco County experiences a boom in growth and development, Shumaker Partner Matthew Maggard was named Board President of the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce.
“Shumaker is committed to smart growth in Pasco County. With Matthew serving in this leadership role, he will be a difference maker in his hometown by ensuring new developments are in the best interest of all,” said Ron Christaldi, Shumaker’s Tampa Managing Partner and President/CEO of Shumaker Advisors Florida.

Matthew was born and raised in Pasco County, and he is currently the city attorney for Zephyrhills and a Hearing Officer for Pasco County. At Shumaker, he serves on the Public Policy and Government Affairs Service Line and provides legal guidance to clients in business, real estate, family, and estate planning.
In February, Shumaker announced that Mathew and Attorney Danny Burgess joined the firm to expand legal work in Pasco County.

- Pasco had a 20 percent growth in population between 2010 and 2020. Its population, estimated at 464,697 in 2010, grew to 561,891 in 2020, according to U.S. census data.
- In addition to residential growth, commercial developments rose 40 percent from 2020 to 2021.
- Notable new investments include the Ridge Road extension and the new Moffitt Cancer Center campus in Pasco.
