Pranique Yoga and Wellness Is Beacon of Light During Darkness of Coronavirus

Though all yoga classes have gone online via Zoom during Covid-19, as an essential business approved by Mayor Seidel to remain open in Oldsmar, Pranique Yoga and Wellness Center offers a regulated, limited number of patrons the opportunity to take advantage of its infrared heated therapies crucial to boosting immune health by increasing the count of white blood cells and killer T-cells. T-cells kill cancer cells and other cells that are infected with viruses along with cells that are otherwise damaged and need to be eradicated from the body.
The Center employees are going above and beyond to ensure their guests’ safety. Guests are given a disinfectant to clean themselves and their equipment. Employees are habitually wiping down doors, handles, and anything touched.
“There is no heavy traffic of yoga classes. We don’t have a sign in sheet anymore. We are checking people into the boutique, making sure that they are disinfected and their equipment has been wiped down before and after. Everyone who comes in here understands the needs and benefits of self-care and all of the goodness that lies within our doors,” explained Amy Olshanski, owner of Pranique. “I know I’m getting criticism for staying open, but nearly every person who walks out of our holistic haven is teary-eyed, saying ‘thank you for being open. I don’t know what I would do right now if I couldn’t come here.’ I’ve been fighting to be a beacon of light in Oldsmar.”
Why is this yoga health and wellness center so vital during the pandemic? The Center offers a Himalayan Salt Cave and private infrared services including a personal Far Infrared Hot Box, a Far Infrared Cocoon, and Far-Infrared Personal Seated Sauna, each thoroughly sanitized after every use.
Far Infrared rays heat provides therapeutic, detoxifying, cellular level form of heat and naturally boosts the immune system. When the body is exposed to Far Infrared rays, its healing processes are stimulated and the body’s own repair responses are activated, restoring function and detoxifying. Far Infrared Thermal treatment detoxifies the body of heavy metals, pesticides, bacteria, parasites, fungus, viruses and other toxins. Halotherapy, aka Salt Therapy, provides healing to the lungs and respiratory system allowing one to breathe easier.
In addition to providing these important health and well-being services to adults, on Monday through Friday, Amy will begin offering an affordable Yoga for Kids class through age 17 via Zoom. Beginning at 9 AM, the 45-minute-long class can be the perfect start to a homeschooler’s day. Classes are available individually for $5, on a weekly basis for $15, or 1-month access for $50.
“I hope to give parents a break and give kids an opportunity to begin their day relaxed and ready to go. We can revisit the class and see how we can continue online at a different time once school starts back up.”
Another kid-friendly event Pranique Yoga and Wellness Center recently sponsored was a partnership with 20 fifth-graders at Hammond Elementary School. During isolation, the youngsters designed mural ideas for the front of the building and art teacher/muralist Andrew Hasebroock will bring the winning concepts to life. A mural unveiling party and prizes for the top three designers will occur after Coronavirus is gone and life has returned to the new normal.
“It’s so exciting. Something bright and uplifting is going to be occurring because of these school kids. I’m glad the Mayor recognizes the importance of what we offer. The fact that I can do something to help people with their health while most everyone is feeling helpless – I think that’s pretty amazing.”
