Kiira Riihijarvi Named to WGCA All-Region Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2019-20 WGCA All-Region Teams for Division II Women’s Collegiate Golf. University of Tampa senior Kiira Riihijarvi was recognized as a member of the All-South Region team.
The four-time All-American from Oulu, Finland is the most decorated golfer in program history. She ranks as the lone All-American in program history, doing so in each of her first three seasons at Tampa. The 2019 SSC Golfer of the Year has won 10 individual tournament championships in her career, the only Spartan to be a medalist. After qualifying for the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Tournament, she led the Spartans to the program’s first-ever team appearance at the 2019 NCAA South Super Regional. As an individual, she won the 2017 South Super Regional as a freshman, and she finished third as a sophomore, while advancing to the Division II Championships as a freshman and sophomore.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches.
