Wood and Dickerson Named SSC Players of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa’s Jack Wood and Ross Dickerson have been named Sunshine State Conference Players of the Week. Wood earned offensive honors, while Dickerson earned specialist of the week.
Jack Wood led the Tampa offense in a top-20 win against conference rival Florida Southern. Against the #19 Mocs, Wood would score a career-high four goals, while adding an assist to tie a career-high with five points. He would also have a shot on goal percentage of 70.0, while picking up one groundball in the victory.
Ross Dickerson led the way for Tampa in the faceoff circle as he won 15-22 attempts. Included in his performance was a game-high nine groundballs. He would also help on the offensive end by dishing out one assist.
Wood, Dickerson, and the rest of the Spartans will be back in action on Friday as they host North Greenville at 8:00 p.m. at Naimoli Field.
