AceShowbiz –
Vin Diesel is playing superhero again when he’s not reprising his role as Groot in a new “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie. The “Fast and Furious” actor stars in “Bloodshot” based on the Valiant Comics character of the same name, and now the first official full trailer for the movie has landed online for fans’ viewing pleasure.
After the first look at Diesel’s character was unveiled in the teaser, the trailer now offers a glimpse of Ray Garrison (Diesel) as a soldier, before he’s killed and brought back to life as an enhanced army with super powers through nanites injected into his blood. The downside, however, his body and his mind are controlled by the RST corporation which developed the technology.
When Garrison starts to act out of the company’s orders, Dr. Emil Harting (Guy Pearce) would shut him down and reset his memory. But as Garrison learns that things are not always like what he remembers them to be, he questions what’s true and what has been manipulated by the company.
The official description for the movie reads, “Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force – stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has to sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.”
“Bloodshot” is directed by Dave Wilson, marking his feature directorial debut, with the script written by Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer. The cast also includes Sam Heughan as Cpl. Harlan ‘So Long’ Shifflet, Toby Kebbell as Axe, and Eiza Gonzalez whose character’s name is still unknown.
The action movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on February 21, 2020.
