USF Alumni, Students, Faculty and Staff to Celebrate Homecoming Week, Oct. 6-12

President Steve Currall to serve as grand marshal of his first USF Homecoming parade
TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2019) – Community members across the Tampa Bay region are invited to join University of South Florida alumni, students, faculty and staff for a week of activities as USF celebrates Homecoming, Oct. 6-12. The week features many events on each USF System campus, including a parade, concert, carnival and comedy show. Homecoming week culminates on Saturday, Oct. 12 as the USF Football team takes on BYU at Raymond James Stadium.
Homecoming is one of USF’s oldest traditions, dating back to 1964, one year after the first graduating class.
This year’s Homecoming event schedule includes:
Monday, Oct. 7, 7:30 p.m.: Kickoff & Stampede Comedy Show, Marshall Student Center Ballroom. The event, which is free and open to the public, features a pep rally with Rocky and the Herd of Thunder marching band prior to stand-up comedian, actress and podcast host Michelle Buteau taking the stage.
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 8:30 p.m.: Homecoming Ball, Marshall Student Center Ballroom. A night of refreshments, dancing and celebration to crown this year’s USF Homecoming royalty.
Thursday, Oct. 10, 8 p.m.: Homecoming Concert, Yuengling Center. The event features performances by Gunna and Bryce Vine. Ticket information is available here.
Friday, Oct. 11, 3 p.m.: Carnival and Talent Showcase, Yuengling Center parking lot. The community is invited to enjoy rides, food and performances by USF students in the talent showcase, which begins at 9 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 11, 6:30 p.m.: Running of the Bulls Parade. The traditional parade, featuring dozens of floats and watch parties along the route, will start on USF Holly Drive and proceed to USF Genshaft Drive before ending on USF Alumni Drive. USF President Steve Currall will serve as grand marshal. More information is available here.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 3:30 p.m.: USF Football vs. BYU, Raymond James Stadium. Tickets are available by visiting USFBullstix.com or Ticketmaster.
