The Peter Parker depicter reportedly made multiple appeals to both Disney CEO Bob Iger and Sony film chairman Tom Rothman to re-engage in talks about a deal for the third movie.

The friendly neighborhood superhero depicter, Tom Holland, is revealed to have saved Spider-Man from leaving Marvel Cinematic Universe, at least for the time being. The British actor reportedly played a big role in securing the new deal between Disney and Sony and for a third Spider-Man movie.
After Sony announced on August 20 that it had cut ties with Disney and Marvel Studios due to a dispute over financing arrangement, Holland reached out to both Disney CEO Bob Iger and Sony film chairman Tom Rothman to re-engage in talks about a deal for the third movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both parties softened after the 23-year-old star showed them the outpouring of fan support.
Sony and Disney eventually agreed on an alleged 25-25 co-financing deal that will earn Disney 25 percent of net gross on the upcoming Spider-Man movie, in return of investment in 25 percent of the budget.
Marvel chief Kevin Feige, who is set to produce the third movie, said on September 27 when announcing the two studios’ reconciliation, “I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”
Holland then celebrated it by sharing a clip of Leonardo DiCaprio from the film “The Wolf of Wall Street“. In the scene, DiCaprio’s character excitedly told everyone that he’s not going anywhere in contrary to what people might have believed. “You know what? I’m not leaving. I’m not f***ing leaving!” he shouted, which was responded with cheers and applause by his peers.
