ICYMI- In case you missed it, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s golf, and volleyball were all in action this past week.
Women’s golf was in action on Monday and Tuesday as they participated at the Saint Leo Invitational. The duo of senior Sofia Cadavid and freshman Hallie Riley led the way for Tampa as they finished second and third respectively. Overall, UT would finish in second as a team.
Volleyball was in Hoover, Ala. as they were participating in the GSC/SSC Crossover. The Spartans dominated the weekend, as they swept all three matches against the University of West Georgia, Auburn University in Montgomery, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Following her efforts on the court, Katie McKiel was named to the South Region Crossover all-tournament team.
Women’s soccer honored six seniors on Saturday night for the team’s senior night. Tampa ended falling to the Lynn University Fighting Knights by a final of 3-2 in overtime.
Men’s soccer traveled to Boca Raton as they faced off against the fourth-ranked Fighting Knights. Lynn was able to capture the victory over Tampa by a final score of 3-2.
This Week
Men’s Soccer- The men’s soccer team will have a pair of games this week. On Wednesday they will have a road game against Saint Leo University and then on Saturday, the Spartans will welcome Rollins College. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Women’s Soccer – The women’s team will be at home on Wednesday as they welcome in the Saint Leo Lions and then on Saturday they will travel to Winter Park to face off against the Rollins Tars. Both games are set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Volleyball – Volleyball will be back to Sunshine State Conference play as they face off against Saint Leo on Tuesday on the road and then they will welcome in Rollins on Thursday. Both games will start at 7:00 p.m.
Men’s Golf – Monday and Tuesday the men’s golf team will be participating at the Miami Intercollegiate tournament. Rounds one and two are on Monday and round three will be on Tuesday.
Swimming – Both swim teams will be in action on Friday for their first meet of the year. The team will be traveling to Lakeland as they face off against Florida Southern. On Saturday, the swim teams will have their home opener as they welcome in Rollins College. Friday’s race is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. and the race on Saturday is set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
Cross Country – Both men’s and women’s cross country teams will be in Boca Raton as they will be racing in the Sunshine State Conference Championships. The races are set to begin at 8:00 a.m.
