This Week’s Events:
Baseball:
This weekend, baseball is set to travel to West Palm Beach to compete against Palm Beach Atlantic for the weekend series. On Friday, the battle between the Spartans and Sailfish is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, the doubleheader will start at noon and 3:30 p.m. respectively.
Beach Volleyball:
The sandy Spartans host Saint Leo on senior night on Thursday, April 11th. The Dual against the Lions is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. This will be the Spartans last regular season home contest before the team will travel to Tavares, Florida to compete at the AVCA Small College Championships.
Men’s Golf:
The men’s golf program is currently competing at the Battle of the Shores in North Miami, Florida at the Normandy Shores Country Club. Tampa currently sits 11thheading into round 3 of the tournament, which closes out today. This weekend the Spartans will travel to Dade City to compete in the Sunshine State Conference Championships at Lake Jovita Golf Course.
Men’s Lacrosse:
Men’s lacrosse is set to host No. 20 Rollins College on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. The Spartans will then play at home again on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. against the Lynn Fighting Knights. Saturday, UT will honor its senior class, so be sure to head to Naimoli early to see these individuals recognized.
Tennis:
Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. UT will host No. 3 Saint Leo. The Spartans will then travel to No. 47 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday before they head to Miami Shores on Sunday to take on No. 2 Barry. Saturday, the Spartans take the court at 10:00 a.m., while on Sunday the match will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Women’s Golf:
This weekend, women’s golf will compete in the Sunshine State Conference Championships in Dade City, Florida. This tournament is scheduled to begin on April 13thand last through Tuesday, April 16th. The SSC Championships are being held at Lake Jovita Golf Course.
Women’s Lacrosse:
Wednesday night in Winter Park, Florida it’s a battle of the tied No. 5 best programs in the nation, according to the IWLCA. The No. 5 University of Tampa Spartans are set to take on the No. 5 Rollins College Tars at 7:30 p.m. Then on Saturday, Tampa will host the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish for a 1:00 p.m. contest. Against the Sailfish, UT will honor its nine seniors. Be sure to head out to Naimoli Field early to see these individuals recognized.
