ICYMI: In Case You Missed It, over the weekend, Tampa Volleyball was named your NCAA DII NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! The Spartans ended their season with an overall record of 33-4, defeating American International College in the quarterfinals, Washburn University in the semifinals, and Western Washington University in the National Championship. Women’s cross country runner, Zoe Jarvis, also ran in the NCAA Championships, finishing 245thin the field of competitors. Women’s basketball ended the week 1-1. First, they fell to No. 21 Florida Southern 55-48. They then bounced back to defeat the Barry Buccaneers on Saturday 69-56. Men’s basketball also fell to SSC Rival, Florida Southern by a final score of 74-67. The Spartans the lost to Barry University on Saturday, 83-71.
This Week’s Events:
Men’s Basketball:
This week, the men will travel to Florida Tech on Saturday, December 8th. Their game is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m., but will start after the conclusion of the women’s game.
Women’s Basketball:
Before the women travel to Florida Tech on Saturday, they will play a game on Tuesday at Valdosta State. This game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. As mentioned previously, the Spartans will then take on the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Melbourne, Fla.
