The ‘Ride Along’ star reportedly showed up on set earlier this week to film marketing material for the ‘Jumanji’ sequel, though he’s still not walking much through most of the day.

Kevin Hart has returned to work six weeks after a horrific car crash that left him with fractured spine. The actor/comedian has allegedly reported to the set of “Jumanji: The Next Level” to film material for the movie’s new marketing campaign.

Sources say Kevin is committed to fulfilling his commitments despite his condition which is still not 100% yet. According to TMZ, “The Secret Life of Pets” star showed up on the set on Monday, October 7 to do two hours of shoot and did another two-hour shoot on Tuesday. He’s scheduled to return on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kevin’s co-stars, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black and Nick Jonas, have been doing full-day shoots. Because of his health condition, the 40-year-old actor reportedly has not been wearing full costume for the shoots and wasn’t walking much either. The source adds that Kevin’s “sitting through most of the day — even though he can walk on his own these days.”

Kevin was a passenger in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when the car accident happened on the Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, California on Sunday, September 1. He was then rushed to hospital from his home due to back injuries he suffered in the accident.

He underwent surgery to fix three spinal fractures that required fusion. After spending 10 days in the hospital, he was transferred to an in-patient facility. The “Night School” actor returned home in late September, but he’s still getting outpatient care.

Kevin’s friend Jared Black, who was behind the wheel, was also severely injured in the accident. Meanwhile, his fiancee Rebecca Broxterman, who sat in the backseat, suffered “minor” injuries. The engaged couple reportedly plans to sue Kevin for not equipping his now-wrecked car with the necessary safety features, including safety harnesses and airbags.
