TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women’s soccer team won against Sunshine State Conference opponent Palm Beach Atlantic.

All-time Series: The Spartans are leading the Sailfish in the all-time series with the longest winning streak being 12 wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

1st Half |The first half remained scoreless as the Spartans outshot Palm Beach 7-2. Moeko Morse played aggressively as she attempted four shots with three of them being shots on goals. Tampa, as a team, played smart as they committed only one turnover compared to three by PBA.  || UT, 0-0

2nd Half | Half-way through the second half, Ashley Loeza kicked in her second goal of the season to put Tampa on the board at 1-0, assist was by Morse. Tampa continued to outshoot PBA in the half as they finished 17-8 for the entire game. || UT, 1-0

UP NEXT: The lady Spartans will return to Pepin Stadium to play against conference rival Florida Southern on Wednesday, October 9. Kick-off will be at 7 PM.
