Tampa Tennis Adds Pair of High School Standouts
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa tennis program announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLI).
Head coach Al DuFaux added class of 2020 players Kiara Tiozzo (Tampa, Fla.) and Anine Wilberg (Oslo, Norway).
Kiara Tiozzo | 5-3 | Tampa, Fla. | H.B. Plant High School
High School: Attends H.B. Plant High School, playing for coach Pam Gassler… Also plays for Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center under coach Alex Golub… Has registered several tournament and match wins.
Personal: Member of the Beta Honors Society… Volunteered with Salvation Army and Goodwill… International business major… Daughter of Iginio and Sana Tiozzo.
Anine Wilberg | 5-10 | Oslo, Norway | Persbraten Sports High School
High School: Attends Persbraten Sports High School, playing for coach Pelle Fridell… Also played for Holmenkollen Tennis Club… Advanced to the Norwegian playoffs, finishing third at the Norwegian Championships… Also finished fifth at the ITF Junior Tournament.
Personal: Volunteered for the tennis club and hosting tournaments for the community… International business major, psychology minor… Daughter of Line and Kristian Wilberg… Has two siblings, Helene and Marie.
