TAMPA, Fla. – The CSCAA Top 25 Division II polls have been unveiled, with the University of Tampa men sitting at No. 10, while the women are No. 7. The UC-San Diego Lady Tritons keep their top position after taking over the number one spot last month. The Triton men made the climb from fifth to first place for the final poll before championship season gets underway later this month.
The Spartan men, undefeated in dual meets and champions of the annual Spartan Invite, moved down a spot after previously coming in at ninth. Head coach Jimi Kiner‘s women moved up a spot to seventh in the latest installment.
With the regular season complete, Tampa returns to action on February 13-16 at the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships at the Clearwater Aquatic Center. The SSC meet will be followed by the NCAA Championships on March 11-14 in Geneva, Ohio.
The Sunshine State Conference is well represented on the men’s side with Nova Southeastern (6), Florida Southern (15), and Saint Leo (16) being listed. Other women’s teams from the SSC include Nova Southeastern (6), Lynn (23), and Rollins (24).
The poll aims to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition. The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and the next poll is scheduled for release on March 2, 2020.
