Tampa Rowing Races at SSC Championships

SARASOTA, Fla. – The University of Tampa rowing team competed at the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championships at Nathan Benderson Park.
The Spartans competed in a pair of races, finishing in sixth-place overall with eight total points.
The Varsity 4 team of Marissa Henderson, Brooke Rogers, Grace McGhee, Sienna Gutierrez and coxswain Liv Nikopoulos placed in sixth, being timed at 8:01.70.
In the Varsity 8, UT finished fifth overall after finishing the event with a time of 7:19.80. Tampa’s boat was comprised of Abbey Grau, Kiara Williams, Bridget Maxwell, Hanna Vernetti, Lauren Blake, Savannah Martin, Sarah Manno, Sam Stewart and coxswain Erin Winslow.
Representing Tampa on the All-SSC team was Stewart while Manno was recognized on the All-Freshman/Novice team.
