Tampa Earns No. 2 Seed in NCAA South Region Tournament

TAMPA, Fla. For the 35h time in program history, the University of Tampa Spartans have earned a bid in the NCAA Postseason. The Spartans will be the number two seed in the NCAA South Region Tournament, hosted by Lynn University. This also marks the 24th straight year UT has made the regional tournament.
Tampa’s first game will be against Alabama-Huntsville in the first game. Earlier in the season, the two teams met in the South Region Crossover, where Tampa earned the 3-0 victory.
Lynn earned the number one seed and will host the tournament beginning on Thursday, December 5th. The Spartans have earned five victories against teams who are in the regional.
The Spartans finished the regular season with a 23-8 overall record and 16-4 conference record. Tampa will enter the tournament with a three-game winning streak.
