Tampa Art Show is One to Remember
Just Another Day @ The Office wasn’t just another day at the office!
Florida in Art and On Point Executive Center teamed up to offer a prize-winning art show for Florida artists. The theme was, ‘Just Another Day @ The Office’ and was open to all Florida resident artists. Mediums included paint, metal, sculpture, mixed media, 3D and ceramics.
Participants were to create a unique square piece of art that expressed an interpretation of today’s Florida work environment. Needless to say, the artist’s creations were unexpected, spectacular and enjoyed by all!
A generous $1,000 Business Builder Grant was presented to one artist, courtesy of Fulfill Your Destiny. Interested artists applied for the grant where they were asked to share how they would invest the winnings. A very deserving, Alexis ‘Stix’ Brown was awarded the grant and humbly shared how it would help push #Paint22 forward! STIX intends to create a mural regarding mental health that encompasses an interactive chalk wall reading “I CHOOSE TO LIVE BECAUSE…” #Ichoosetolivebecause where people can write their statement of why they are ‘choosing’ life. She is asking for recommendations on places to display this mural. If you know anyone open to our idea on their wall space outdoors, please let me know.

A check for $250 was presented to artist Christine Samad for Popular Vote amongst the gala’s attendees. Christine’s painting is titled ‘But First, Coffee…’ and is available for purchase for $250. The Popular Vote was sponsored by On Point Executive Center.
The Aspiring Young Artist Honorarium was presented to Karolyn Zoe Medina Lorenzo for her acrylic titled, ‘Dominate the Universe’. This was Karolyn’s first art show and her award was chosen by popular vote! She is excited to start her $150 studio training at Happy Art Studios under the instruction of Alicia Campos.
Wendy Durand of Wendy Durand Pottery LLC says of the gala, ‘it was a warm and welcoming show with beautiful art.’
“The Art Gala themed Just Another Day at the Office, was an interesting assemblage of both cultural diversity and artistic interpretation and expertise. The host venue was friendly and inviting. I hope to see more art events there in the future!”, says artist Michelle Gould
The art gala was held on Friday, December 6th at 6:30 pm at On Point Executive Center 3030 N Rocky Point Drive W., #150 Tampa, FL 33607. Art will remain on display until mid-January. The community is welcome to stop in Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm to preview the collection.
