Sweet Treats and Family Fun at the Franciscan Center’s Gingerbread Workshop
[ad_1]
Tampa, FL – On Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 11 a.m., families, children ages four and up, couples and friends can work together to design and decorate their very own gingerbread houses at the Franciscan Center’s Gingerbread House Workshop.
From frosted candy roofs to pretzel picket fences, it’s all the sweet fun with no sticky clean-up! Everything is provided, including pre-assembled gingerbread houses with handfuls of holiday candy, royal icing and celebratory sprinkles, personally procured by Santa’s elves.
For hungry house-builders, the Franciscan Café provides a menu of shareable holiday treats, complete with special chef-curated delights and kid-friendly options. Children of all ages will love the Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider Station where they can choose their favorite toppings. For adults, handcrafted holiday- inspired cocktails are available.
Santa, his elf, and our “Elf on the Shelf” commemorate the occasion with keepsake photos available for purchase as prints or a download. In addition, a holiday backdrop will be set up for DIY photo ops.
“This memory-making experience is what the Franciscan Center is all about,” says professional hospitality consultant Bayé Perry, who has staged gingerbread events across the Tampa Bay Area, and who works with the Franciscan Café to provide a high-level dining experience.
One and one-half hour time slots are available throughout the day starting at 11 a.m. Tickets are $35 and include one gingerbread house, complete candy “building supplies” and seating for two with hot chocolate or apple cider refreshments. Due to limited seating, reservations are a must. Visit FranciscanCenterTampa.org, call (813) 229-2695 or email: Info@FranciscanCenterTampa.org.
