Tampa, Fla. – The Straz
Center’s Patel Conservatory will present Charlotte’s Web
October 17-20
in the Straz Center for the Performing
Art’s TECO Theater.
Named the “best American children’s book of the past 200 years” by the
Children’s Literature Association,
the masterpiece of Charlotte’s
Web is brought to life by Patel
Conservatory students ages seven to 17.
This beloved theatrical presentation tells the story of Wilbur, the
irresistible young pig who desperately
wants to avoid the butcher, and an extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who
proves to be “a true friend and
a good writer.”
Wilbur and Charlotte are joined by
a cast of memorable characters in this beautiful play, directed by Sarah
Berland, about friendship.
Charlotte’s Web will be presented in TECO Theater October 17-20. Performances
are
Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday
at 10 a.m. (relaxed performance) and 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and
4 p.m. Regularly priced tickets
