SSC Presents Dori Nagy as Player of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. – University of Tampa junior forward Dori Nagy was named the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Nagy, a junior from Pecs, Hungary, grabs Player of the Week accolades after leading Tampa to victory against Nova Southeastern University in the SSC opener, She scored a game-high 23 points, including the game-winning shot at the buzzer. Nagy was 64-percent shooting from the field (7-11) and 75-percent from the free-throw line (9-12) as the Spartans took down the Sharks, 72-70, at home. The junior forward also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and dished an assist in the victory.
Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of November 18 – 24, 2019. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions.
