McKenzie Street from Tampa highlights the repeat All-SSC honorees, following her third consecutive First Team honor. Joining Street as repeat All-SSC First Team from last season is teammate Hana van Loock, Nova Southeastern’s Emma Sundstedt, and Lynn’s Sarah Hughes. Sundstedt was also named 2017-18 SSC Freshman of the Year, while Hughes was a Second Team member in 2016-17.
Florida Southern’s Katie Moore, a Second Team honoree last season, makes a move up to the First Team this season. First Team accolades also went to a trio of Freshman in Nova Southeastern’s Sasha Maslova as well as Tampa’s Courtney Sherwood and Elizaveta Bazarova. Those athletes repeating as All-SSC on the Second Team were Jenna Johns from NSU and Jessie Tobin from Tampa. Both swimmers earned Second Team accolades in 2017-18. UT’s Maureen Moore was named an honorable mention.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship. This year’s NCAA Championships are March 13 – 16 at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. For a full list of SSC qualifiers, click here.
