MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s golf team hit the links to open its spring slate, facing off against opponents from across the nation at the Titan Winter Invitational.

TOP SPARTAN PERFORMERS:
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Montagnino was the top Spartan for the third straight tournament.
- In the final round, Montagnino carded a UT-best round of 73 for the event.
- Wills was the lone Spartan to shoot under 80 in all three rounds.
- Head coach Gary Hilton did not register any individuals.
- A total of 14 teams competed.
- Other Sunshine State Conference teams included Embry-Riddle (2nd) and Florida Tech, though the latter did not enter as a team.
- Bethune-Cookman’s Marcus Sundlof was the top individual with a 209. His -7 was four strokes ahead of the competition.

Tampa returns to action on February 10-11 at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, which will be played at St. John’s Golf Course in St. Augustine, Fla.
