Spartans Travel West for Men’s Golf Competition
DENVER, Colo. – The University of Tampa men’s golf team traveled to Denver for the Bob Writz Invitational, finishing fifth overall in the two-round event.

- Senior Barnes led the way for the Spartans with a top-20 finish.
- An opening round 72 from Montagnino was the top round for a Spartan.
- UT did not enter any individuals.
- The individual champion was Colorado’s Victor Bjorlow with a 143 (-1).
- The Spartans were the lone team from the Sunshine State Conference in the field.

Tampa heads to the Battle at the Shores to complete the regular season on April 8-9. Barry University will host the event at Normandy Shores Country Club.
