HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Sam Freitas singled to lead over the Spartans in the second. He would later score on an RBI-single by Nick Derr. B2 | 1-0 Tampa

• Danny Sirven hit a leadoff double in the fourth for the Spartans. Stevie Mangrum would then hit him in with an RBI-single. Mangrum then scored via a Derr double. Yorvis Torrealba later hit a two-RBI single with the bases loaded. B4 | 5-0 Tampa

• Eckerd got on the board with two runs in the sixth. T6 | 5-2 Tampa

• Derr hit a solo Home Run in the sixth to increase Tampa’s lead. B6 | 6-2 Tampa

• Torrealba smacked a solo Home Run in the seventh. B7 | 7-2 Tampa

• The Tritons scored two runs in the eighth to cut into Tampa’s lead. T8 | 7-4 Tampa

• Mikey Navarette dodges a tag in a rundown to score in the eighth. B8 | 8-4 Tampa

INSIDE THE STATS:

• Derr was a triple away from the cycle, batting three for four with a Home Run and four RBI’s on the day.

• Torrealba hit two for four with a Home Run and three RBI’s.

• Sirven hit one double for the Spartans, going one for four.

OUTSIDE THE BOX:

• Tampa is now 17-8 in the SSC.

• Danny Sirven is currently riding thirteen-game hitting streak.

• Torrealba is now tied for the lead in Home Runs (8) among the Spartans, along with Aleywine.
