HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 1st: Leading off the ball-game, Lexie Chevalier roped a double down the left field line. It was the freshman’s seventh double of the season, which leads the team. After a hit-by-pitch to Cristina Clauberg, the Spartans took the lead with an RBI single from Corynn Miner. With two outs, Maddie Farrell stepped to the plate and cashed in with a two-RBI single to center field.
BOT 2nd: Freshman, Stephanie Balmer, led off the inning with a base-knock and scored on the next play. The Spartans started another rally with one out as Clauberg singled and Miner doubled. Senior third-basemen, Sam Worrell, hit a deep-fly which allowed Clauberg to tag-up and score.
