Spartans Finish Off Dominating Performance Against Saint Leo
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s and women’s swimming teams capped off a two-day meet with visiting Saint Leo University with several first-place finishes.

Women’s Final: No. 5 Tampa Spartans 252, No. 22 Saint Leo Lions 80

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The meet totaled 48 events.
- Tampa’s women took first in 16 races.
- The Spartan men took 21 first-place finishes.
TOP PERFORMERS / DAY TWO (MEN):

- UT opened the day with a first in the 400 Medley Relay at 3:49.97. UT’s team included Hana van Loock, Elizaveta Bazarova, Anja Oca and Megan Waddell.
- Taking a pair of races was Courtney Sherwood. She would win the 400 IM in 4:34.40 and the Mixed 100 Back in 1:00.58.
- Waddell took the 50 Free in 23.76.
- Victoria Horsman was first in the 200 Fly at 2:06.50.
- van Loock was the winner of the 100 Free with a time of 51.33.
- Maureen Moore won the 500 Free in 5:03.06.
- Ali Lombardi claimed the 200 Breast in 2:20.59.
- The 800 Free Relay was timed at 7:33.67. Making up the team was Bazarova, Moore, Cat Sterlacci and van Loock.
UP NEXT:
Tampa will prepare for the annual Spartan Invite, which will take place from December 15-18 at the Clearwater Aquatic Center.
