Soler Named to USCA All-South Region Second Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches Association honors stand-out players through their All-Regional selections and The University of Tampa is represented by senior midfielder, Toni Soler. Soler was named to the 2018 USCA All-South Region Second Team after starting in all 14 games for the Spartans.
In his lone season at UT, the transfer from Adelphi University logged 11 shots on goal and posted a .440 shot on target percentage after ripping 25 shots throughout the year. He registered an assist in a 3-2 road victory over Embry-Riddle. In his junior season at Adelphi, he was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-American First Team.
The Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, Flavio Colasanti from Barry University, was named to the All-South Region First Team. Juan Sanchez, from Palm Beach Atlantic, earned SSC Defensive Player of the Year and he was also named to the All-South Region First Team. Francisco Greco, the SSC Freshman of the Year from Barry University, was selected to the All-South Region Second Team.
