Smith Earns SSC Offensive Player of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Rojay Smith was named Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Smith earned this award after his performance against Thomas University and Barry University. This is Smith’s first player of the week award.
Against the Thomas Night Hawks, Smith came off the bench to score for the Spartans. His goal broke a 2-2 tie with 20 minutes left in the game. Against the Barry Buccaneers, Smith scored the game-winning goal, as he broke a 1-1 game in the 67th minute of the game.
Smith and the Spartans will be back in action this week with a pair of games. On Wednesday they will face off against Eckerd College and on Saturday they will play against Embry-Riddle University.
