Rotary Club of Tampa Giving Day Honors Community Causes

Public event at Water Works Park on February 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tampa, Florida January 27, 2020 The ROTARY CLUB OF TAMPA invites the community to honor our grant recipients and community partners at our second annual GIVING DAY on February 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. at the Tampa Rotary Pavilion in Water Works Park, 1710 N. Highland Ave, Tampa, FL 33602.
Grants totaling nearly $50,000 will benefit eleven local organizations. Each recipient organization will be on hand with an
informational table highlighting their mission and volunteer opportunities and will take the stage to share heart-
warming stories of how they impact those they serve. We are also honored to welcome two very special guests,
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister and Luis Viera, Chairman of the Tampa City Council.
ROTARY CLUB OF TAMPA GIVING DAY is a family-friendly event, free and open to the community. There will be live
entertainment from the Academy Prep Youth Choir, the Icon Prep Marching Rattlers, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cheerleaders, as well as food trucks, music, dancing, games and more.

“As we choose our partner organizations each year, we are struck by the amazing causes creating change that matters in
Tampa. We are honored to celebrate these organizations, and proud to share the work that the Rotary Club of Tampa
has supported in our community for the past 105 years,” says Brad Kelly, President of the Rotary Club of Tampa.
In addition to the club’s annual grant program, the Rotary Club of Tampa provides scholarship support for top area high
school graduates from the Boys and Girls Clubs, shares holiday gifts with the county’s neediest elementary school
students in partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools, and in August funded a 75,000 meal packing event for
Feeding Tampa Bay.
The Rotary Club of Tampa was formed in Tampa in 1914, and currently has 150 members representing the local business
community. The Rotary Club of Tampa Foundation was formed in June 1983 and is registered with the State of Florida as
an autonomous 501(c)(3) organization. Since 2014, the Foundation has invested over $300,000 and thousands of
volunteer hours in programs that benefit children and families in the Bay area. Learn more about the Rotary Club of
