MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The University of Tampa women’s golf team matched up against several nationally-ranked opponents, finishing ninth overall at the Barry Invitational.

- The Spartans opened the tournament with a school record 290 in round one.
- Riihijarvi, the number-one ranked individual in the nation, notched her fourth consecutive top-five finish and seventh of the 2018-19 season.
- Riihijarvi carded rounds of 73, 70 and 69. Her final round marked the lone sub-70 score for a Spartan.
- Head coach Missey Jones did not register any individuals.
- A total of 17 teams competed.
- Josefina Foa Torres of Barry was the individual champion with a three-round score of 207 (-9).
- Joining host and team champion Barry and UT from the Sunshine State Conference were Florida Tech (2), Lynn (4), Nova Southeastern (5), Rollins (7), Florida Southern (8), Embry-Riddle (14) and Palm Beach Atlantic (17).
- 13 of the 18 teams making an appearance in the tournament ranked in the top-25 of the latest WGCA national poll, while two more schools place within the top-50 of the latest Golfstat rankings.
