Regina Temple, PhD, MPA, BSN Named CEO Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point

TAMPA, Florida – (October 4, 2019) – HCA West Florida is pleased to announce that Regina (Gina) Temple, PhD, MPA, BSN, is the new President and CEO for Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Ms. Temple joins HCA Healthcare and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point from San Antonio, Texas, where for the past three years she held executive leadership roles with the Baptist Health System. Recently she was the President of Mission Trial Baptist Hospital. Prior to that, she served as the Baptist Health System Texas Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Operating Officer of North Central Baptist Hospital. Ms. Temple is a Board Certified Hospital Administrator with more than 27 years of experience.

Dr. Chari further explained that while at the Baptist Health System, Ms. Temple was responsible for opening the Baptist Orthopedic Hospital, led strategy deployment, strengthened organizational alignment and was responsible for the identification of breakthrough initiatives.
Prior to joining the Baptist System, Ms. Temple was the Vice President of Operational Integration for Sutter Health in Sacramento and an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.
She earned her doctorate from Walden University, a master’s in public administration from the University of West Florida, and a bachelor of nursing from the University of South Alabama.
