RCS Pinellas’ CEO for the Day Experience

Clearwater, FL – RCS Pinellas will introduce its new CEO, who is not old enough to drive, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at its Board meeting. The meeting will take place at 503 S Martin Luther King Jr Avenue in Clearwater at 7:30 am. The change in leadership is happening as part of the youth ‘CEO for the Day’ experience, which was an auction item at the RCS Faces of Domestic Violence Luncheon in October. The winner of the auction item was Trey Blevins, grandson of the former Executive Director of The Haven of RCS, Lola Blevins, who recently passed after losing her battle with cancer.
Kirk Ray Smith, President and CEO of RCS Pinellas, shared, “Losing Lola was an incredible loss that still hurts. Lola was an amazing person and second-to-none leader who brought so much to RCS. For her grandson to be the winner of the CEO for the Day Experience, it is exciting, and almost spiritual. I am so looking forward to Trey’s leadership and a day off! I’m certain he will never forget this experience.”
The purpose of the experience is part of RCS’s youth development initiative to give hope, vision, and inspiration to young people to rise to their potential. RCS wants youth of all socio-economic backgrounds, races, and ethnicities to believe that there are great opportunities available to them, and they, too, can be a CEO.
The day will include the CEO for the Day participating the Board meeting, meeting one-on-one with a Board member, touring RCS programs, and leading a management meeting.
