RCS Pinellas Announces the Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon

Clearwater, Fla. – Buy a meal, give a meal! Empty Bowls for RCS Pinellas returns to St. Petersburg College, Clearwater on Nov. 2. for its annual luncheon. The unique and memorable event celebrates community, art, and collaboration. Attendees will choose a bowl that is handmade and donated by local artists and enjoy a meal of soup, bread, and dessert. The souvenir bowl is theirs to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit the programs offered by RCS Pinellas, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ES-104 room of St. Petersburg College, 2465 Drew Street, Clearwater, FL 33765. Bronze, Silver and Gold Sponsorships are available. “Empty Bowls is all about ensuring there are no empty bowls for individuals and families facing food insecurity. The generosity of SPC, volunteers and the artists who make this event happen year after year is second-to-none. The funds raised through this effort has led to the provision of thousands of pounds of food for hundreds of households across Pinellas County,” says Kirk Ray Smith, President and CEO of RCS Pinellas.
Empty Bowls Pinellas, St. Petersburg College and Highwater Clays of Florida are the presenting sponsors of the event. Other sponsors include Raymond James, Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, LPL Financial, Pauline Deal, and Symanksi & McKnight, P.A.
RCS Pinellas has provided help & hope to people in need for 50 years. RCS’s mission is to feed the hungry, help families facing homelessness return to self-sufficiency, and empower survivors of domestic violence. Over 130,000 Pinellas County individuals are served annually with dignity to accomplish this mission at the RCS Food Bank, the RCS Grace House, The Haven of RCS, RCS Affordable Housing, RCS Energy Assistance Program, and RCS thrift store partnerships.
