SARASOTA COUNTY – Phillippi Farmhouse Market has reopened at Phillippi Estate Park for the 11th year. The market, located at 5500 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday through April.
The market is hosted by a partnership between Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources and the Friends of Sarasota County Parks. Grace and Fred Whitehouse, volunteers through Friends of Sarasota County Parks, lead the market.
The Phillippi Farmhouse Market follows the agricultural calendar as the growing season in southwest Florida produces fruits and vegetables throughout these months. The market supports the local economy and promotes Sarasota County’s strategic plan of supporting workforce development.
Phillippi Farmhouse Market is the area’s only mid-week market, featuring local agriculture, including a local USDA-certified organic grower, plant, herb and floral vendors as well as a variety of food trucks. The market also features local raw honey, several bakeries, local artisans with hand-crafted items, a wellness vendor and a dog-washing station, as well as local musicians. Phillippi Farmhouse Market is ADA accessible, has ample free parking and brings fun for the whole family.
