  • The Bobcats continued to fight, crossing one in the third and three in the fifth to cut the Spartan lead to 10-6.
  • UT extended its lead to 11-6 on a Stephen Smith RBI groundout in the sixth, before GC would cut the lead back to four at 11-7 in the bottom of the seventh.
  • Tampa added two in the eighth to cushion its lead at 14-7 as the first scored on a Torrealba sacrifice fly and the second courtesy of a failed pickoff attempt.
  • The Bobcats scored a run in the ninth to cut the final margin to six runs.
