Neil Calkin Named to US Junior Indoor Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – University of Tampa men’s lacrosse player Neil Calkin has been selected to represent the United States as a member of its 2019 Junior Indoor Team.
Calkin will represent his country at the World Junior Lacrosse Championship from Tuesday, August 6 to Sunday, August 11. The US will face Poland in the opening round on August 6 at 5 p.m. On August 7, the US will meet Iriqouis at 8 p.m., with tournament play occurring on August 9-11. Games will be played at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
“This is an amazing feeling to represent my country,” says Calkin. “My summer league coach helped me get this opportunity, and it has been a great experience.”
A native of Hanover, Mass., Calkin played for Hanover High School before sitting out the 2019 season at UT as a redshirt.
